David Berman is an actor and full-time researcher on the TV series ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation''. In the show he plays the role of Assistant Medical Examiner David "Super Dave" Phillips. The role was recurring at first, but, as of the tenth season, Berman has been promoted to a main character, appearing in the show's opening credits. Behind the scenes he also acts as head researcher on the show maintaining a long list of contacts in order to verify facts, research procedures and technologies. His brother Josh Berman is a co-producer of the program. In 2006 he appeared in seven episodes of the cancelled TV series ''Vanished'' as Agent Edward Dockery. In the ''Heroes'' episode "Homecoming", his name was featured on the List, and he played Brian Davis in the next episode, "Six Months Ago".
